About the Course

BASIC is a 2-day course designed for junior ICU doctors with little ICU experience as well as senior trainees in medicine, surgery or emergency medicine who need a refresher course in Intensive Care.

 

Course Format

  • Course textbook, mailed to participants by mid March, 2019; online electronic tutorial/lectures

  • Pre-course MCQ-based formative assessment, to be completed and submitted by the 30th of April, 2019

  • 2 day course consisting of lectures, skill stations and tutorials taught by Intensive Care specialists, with an emphasis on a practical approach to management of critically ill patients

  • Post-course Exam & Evaluation.

 

Registration

  • KES 10,000 payable to the Critical Care Society of Kenya on or before 22nd March, 2019.
